Copy System Field

Copy those inaccessible "system" fields on your ACT! Contact, Group and Company records into specified fields.

Let's say you have created a Sales Rep field and you want to quickly populate it with the Record Manager for each record... sorry... you can't do that in ACT!.

Copy System Field® provides the capability to copy the contents of an ACT! “system” field to a non-“system” field on contact, group and company records, allowing the user to perform searches and sorts on that field’s values.

Copy System Field There are a few operations that users may wish to perform on all fields in their ACT! database, such as a search/lookup or sort. For example, you may want to locate all the contacts with George Washington as the Record Manager, or put your contacts in order, newest to oldest, based on Create Date. However, these fields (and some others, such as Edit Date and Email Address) are ACT! “system” fields, and are not available for use in lookups and sorts.

You can use the Edit menu, Replace option to copy the contents of a field into another field, for all the Contacts, Groups or Companies in an ACT! lookup. However, you cannot access “system” fields when performing an Edit, Replace function in ACT!.

Copy System Field offers the ability to select one of these “system” fields as the “source” for a copy operation, and allows you to copy the contents of a “system” field to any non-system field. Once the copy is complete, you can then do all your normal operations, such as Lookup and Sort, on these non-system fields.

Each time you open ACT, you'll see the initial registration screen. In order to try the product, you'll need to fill out the first four fields (with the bold labels) and then click Register Trial.

When you're ready to buy, give us a call at 713-661-5200.

If it is after hours or on the weekend, you can request the unlock code by email. Until you buy and register the product, each time you start ACT!, you'll get a registration dialog. Click the "I'd Like to Buy" button, then select and copy the Product ID. Send an e-mail to support@cornerstonesolutions.com. In the subject line you can put the name of the product you want to register and then paste in the Product ID number you copied. Your Registration Code will be emailed within 24 hours after payment clears.

When you receive the unlock code from us... start ACT again and then start the product and click Help, Register. Finish filling out the form. Enter the License Key you received in the email and click the Licence Retail button. That's it. You can start using the product in full mode with no time or usage restrictions.
