Make Your Web Site
Work for You

Confused About How To Make Your Web Site Work
Better? You need this half-day workshop!

If you go to www.Google.com, enter 2 or 3 words describing what your company sells (that don't include your company name), and click the Google Search button, will a page from your company's web site come up on the first page?

What do you need to do to make that happen?

What's the point of a beautifully designed web site if the search engines can't find it when your future customers search for help to the problems you fix? With over 100 million web sites now online, no serious business owner can afford to sit back and hope people will find them online–especially if their web site is not visible in the first 25 search-result listings for his line of work.

If your web site person says, I know how to add keywords to the META tags...you need to run the other way. They are working with old knowledge. META tags have almost nothing to do with how people find you on the web anymore.
Good web site design requires 4 skills: a graphic designer, a writer, a search engine optimization expert, and a coder (someone who can put it all together on web pages). Occasionally you will find someone who can handle 2 or more of the jobs, but rarely do you find one person who can handle all 4. So, if you are in charge of your web site, you may need to coordinate between several people to produce a web site that works as hard as you do (even if you are one of those "web" people).

Just as an FYI, I am not a graphic designer. I do not write copy or code html for my clients (even though I do my own). I do not provide SEO (search engine optimization) advice. During this workshop,
I will not try to sell you my services for web site design
(it's not even a line item in my Chart of Accounts).
However, what I do know is how to help you direct your own web site team to get the most out of your own web site. I am constantly studying and researching ways to raise my site in Google so that others can find us (Cornerstone is one of the top resellers of ACT! software in North America). There is almost no search term that you can enter on Google that doesn't find Cornerstone on the first page (and I didn't pay to get there). "ACT addons", "ACT consultant", "ACT training", "ACT 2007", "ACT tips" (right below the college student testing sites), "ACT courseware", "ACT hosting", "ACT user group", or even "ACT blackberry".

There's no reason your web site can't also work like a magnet to attracts new clients to your business.
I hate knowing how to do all this and not sharing it. So, I created a half-day workshop to help other entrepreneurs and small business owners take advantage of my research.

In this half-day workshop, you'll discover my easy tactics to:
  • Incorporate proven database and direct marketing tactics into your web site design
  • Research and build keyword lists so people can find you on the web
  • Increase web visits with search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising
  • Optimize each of your web pages to generate more traffic
  • Build a link strategy to improve placement in the search engines
  • Capture online leads, import them into your ACT database, and then follow-up automatically with auto responders
  • Discover which of your competitors pose your biggest online threat
  • Convert traffic into sales and leads 24/7/365
  • Track and monitor the right web site metrics

Learn to work with your web design team to build a site that generates leads (for you to import and follow-up with using your ACT database).
